Butchery and meat counter, cold cuts and pies
Our Hackney shop opened in 2008, and to begin with the shop was staffed entirely by Borut, who wanted to “open it, close it and do everything in between”. Borut was so good at opening, closing and running the shop that the need for a second butcher soon became apparent, a butcher who could maintain Borut’s impeccably high standards; Daniel was the man up to the job, and now that Borut teaches our Marylebone butchery classes full time, Daniel does a fantastic job of managing the shop, joined by his brother Costin and their half brother Aurelio.
In the shop you’ll find our rare and native breed pork, beef, lamb and chicken, as well as mountains of sausages, freshly baked pies, bacon, terrines, fresh eggs, chutneys and pickles and – of course – our famous hot sausage rolls.
