Customers are regulaly asking the Ginger Pig if we they can buy on line and have meat delivered. We would be keen to hear from customers whether they would like to buy meat this way.

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

The problem with buying quality meat online as opposed to visiting the butcher is that you can't check the cut of the meat first.

Personally, I'd rather go out of my way to visit the shop...but I suppose for those who cannot get there, at least they know they're getting a delivery of quality meat.

But if demand is there, and people will pay the premium for delivery, packaging and e-commerce website construction, then I say do it.

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

I would gladly buy all my meat from Ginger Pig, but I've got three kids, under six years old, so even if I had the time or energy to get to your shop/s on a regular basis, I don't have enough arms free to carry home the amount of meat I'd like to buy. Instead , I buy from other - online - butchers and reserve my visits to Ginger Pig for 'treats' when I'm out and about with mates.
In other words: an online delivery service would be a huge bonus. It wouldn't stop me visting you at Borough Market - nothing compares to the joy of watching your guys butcher the meat right in front of me - but it would stop me giving my money to your competitors.

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

It would be great to buy Ginger Pig meat on line as I don't live anywhere near any of the shops. I am always reading about how good your meat is and would love to buy it. At the moment I buy meat on line from Donald Russell and they are superb however I would much prefer to buy pork products that are the rare breeds and I have been unable to find anywhere locally that can supply that. I really hope that you decide to go down this route, let the rest of the country benefit from quality pork products.

I agree with all the comments that buying it online would only be a supplement to visiting the shops but it would make life in busy times much easier. Most importantly though we would add the site to our wedding lists so instead of starting my married life with matching towels I could start it with your lovely meat! oh and if you could add the butchery courses to the online site that would also be very good!

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

I would probably buy your meat online.

But you could improve on that and just open a shop in south West London instead?

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

I've friends around the country who have tucked into the gorgeous beef and pork from the Ginger Pig when I've had them visit me in London or i've actually taken it to them. They'd love to be able to buy online, it's the first thing they always ask.

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

Having just heard about you on Breakfast TV, i've looked up your company hoping to sample your wares. However living 2hrs away from London, I'm unable to get to any of your shops. I'd love to be able to try your products by purchasing them online and maybe would become a regular customer........if only I had the chance!

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

The only meat I buy on-line is chicken - one free-range, organic chicken from whichever on-line store is more-or-less the same as another. When it comes to joints of pork, beef or lamb etc though I don't really know what I'm after until I've seen what's in the displays and what's hanging in the fridge. I prefer to see what's in and what looks good and see what takes my fancy - I much prefer the experience of shopping for meat in person than clicking a mouse - but then I'm lucky enough to work few minutes walk from Borough Market. Also, when you're buying a few large joints or a joint and several chops/sausages etc, you can't negotiate any discounts on-line can you?

We'd love to feature you on www.SheerLuxe.com but we only feature companies that sell online via their own website so if and when you do sell online do please get in touch with us. Your products are top quality and we'd love to recommend them to our readers!

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

I have sampled the fantastic beef from the Ginger pig in the Borough Market and would love to be able to but this produce regularly. sadly there is no opportunity to do so and I'm a Yorkshire man!
The info about the Deli in Pickering seems to suggest you can't but Yorkshire meat in this Yorkshire shop - why is this?

Re: Buying Ginger Pig Meat online.

I am really missing the Ginger Pig sausages and would love to be able to buy online as we live nowhere near one of the shops.
